City Choir of Washington

An account that was referred to us by another of our clients (Baltimore Choral Arts Society), the City Choir of Washington has been with us since 2013. The City Choir focuses primarily on the power of the human voice accompanied by instruments. But how does one portray “consistently beautiful choral tone, clear diction, and exquisite attention to musical detail” without falling back on the expected solution of showing instruments, musical scores, or mouths agape in song? And how does one apply that creative imagery consistently enough for an entire season’s worth of concerts? The answer in 2014 was waves: Waves of sound that could be transformed by color to complement the tone and mood of each concert. The full-season brochure work depicted here was the creative look upon which subsequent concert programs, web ads, and direct mail was based.
