We knew the end was coming, but that doesn't mean we're ready to say goodbye. The much anticipated final episode of
Serial (Season 1) was released this morning, and it wasn't long before fans were flocking to Twitter, seeking an outlet for unanswered questions, unspoken theories, and personal verdicts.
Is it Thursday yet??? #Serial

You know what this means ... Politicians and do-gooders will soon be saying, "Baltimore is more than 'Serial'.."

While I listen to #serial I get lost in the story, then I remember it's real & I get devastated for Hae Min Lee and her family.
— Erik Patterson (@erikpatterson) November 16, 2014
@Ceilidhann I think it's good journalism but the entertainment/binge-listen/fandom elements of it are...idk. Think Hae Min Lee's forgotten.

#Serial talk: Someone explain a scenario where Adnan is innocent, but Jay knows where Hae's car is? Jay may be guilty too, but Adnan lying
— Lou Ciaccia (@louciaccia) December 12, 2014
After 9 episodes, I think #AdnanSyed is guilty, and Jay was supposed to be his alibi, but he snitched instead. #Serial

#Serial fans, does Asia's alibi for Adnan alone not create sufficient reasonable doubt for you?
— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) December 15, 2014
Some people are thinking about #serial all wrong. It's not Law and Order, it's real life. And life is messy and without tidy conclusions.

I wonder how many people will be trampled in mass watercooler discussions today. #serial

Everyone on the train platform just collectively took a deep breath and started the last episode of @serial

Oh wow Don didn't page Hae either? I thought EVERYONE except Adnan paged her. I thought only a murderer wouldn't have paged her. Hmmmm

Why did they never test the DNA? Where is the shovel and why didn't they double check it for finger prints?! #Serial #backseatinvestigating
— Jackie Furst (@jjjackie1) December 18, 2014
If Adnan wants them to test the DNA evidence, that doesn't make him sound very guilty. #serialpodcast
— Matthew Olwell (@mattolwell) December 18, 2014
They should have called this episode: "Literally Everyone Involved Is Lying." #Serial
— Julia H (@spicedlantern) December 18, 2014
I'm pretty sure this entire episode is just based on what Sarah Koenig has been reading on Reddit. #Serial

Adnan's voice when he gives the go ahead to Diedre to do the DNA testing. My stomach turned. #serial

Just finished #Serial. Man that last line got me. "Because we didn't have the facts 15 yrs ago. And we still don't." Goosebumps level good.
— Jenny Hussin (@JennyHussin) December 18, 2014
It seems like a weird time to end Serial. Stuff is just starting to happen and Sarah is all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ see ya guys thanks for listening.

Listening to #serialpodcast finale again - hoping for 57 minutes worth of traffic. Could #Adnan be THAT unlucky? Phone? Killer? Neisha call?

Good of them to arrange Christmas to fall on 'Serial day' next week. That'll help with the withdrawal. #serialpodcast

I gotta say, no matter how hyped it might seem, Sarah Keonig's storytelling achievement with @serial is just remarkable.

Season 2 of Serial is about whether or not I murdered all my coworkers for talking loudly about today's episode before I was done hearing it
