We’re sad to announce the closing of Langermann’s Light Street location in Federal Hill.
We suspect that the Light Street location, which opened in 2012, was not nearly as successful as its larger Canton location, and this may have been a contributing factor in its closing, though David McGill, managing partner of Langermann’s Restaurant Group is simply saying, “We had an offer to sell the business and it was too good pass up.”
What will fill the void left on Light Street is still an unknown.
Langermann’s Restaurant Group wants to continue to expand the brand and is currently scouting for new locations.
“We got a couple things in the fire, but nothing specific,” says McGill. “We are still looking and we want to take our time and make sure we find something for the long hall.”
No worries for fans of the restaurants low-country cuisine. The Canton location is still going strong and serving up their famous shrimp and grits.
