It's a sad farewell for AVAM’s Mr. Rain’s Fun House, which hosts its last supper on Saturday, June 7. Though the restaurant’s closing is certainly sad news for Baltimore, proprietor Perez Klebahn says the restaurant’s final meal will be a celebration of Rain’s five-year reign as the go-to spot for original, handcrafted cocktails and inventive New American fare.
“We didn’t want to sneak off into the night,” says Klebahn. “We wanted people to remember us, and we wanted to be able to get guests back in before we close our doors. We are looking to that last day to say that we were here and part of Federal Hill, Baltimore City, and the American Visionary Art Museum.”
Mr. Rain's Fun House received a silver medal nod in our 2014 list of 50 Best Restaurants.
