Oliver Speck’s Eats & Drinks has permanently closed, it was announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page today. Despite great promise—with Top Chef contestant Jesse Sandlin at the helm—sadly, this Harbor East space could never quite find its footing. It opened first as upscale bistro Vino Rosina in 2010, then closed three years later, reinventing itself, almost overnight, as a BBQ joint.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we say this. As of today, Oliver Speck's Eats & Drinks has permanently closed,” it says on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “We would like to thank each and every one of you for your loyalty and patronage over this past year. We are looking for a new location and will hopefully reopen in the future.”
So long, Speck. We will miss having you in Baltimore magazine’s Harbor East ’hood.
