Let’s say you’re visiting Aunt Bessie in Boise, and you have a sudden hankering for a pepperoni pizza, but no car to drive.

Thanks to OrderUp, a Baltimore-based, on-demand food ordering and delivery service, wherever you are in the country, your delivery dreams can come true.

OrderUp cofounders Chris Jeffery and Jason Kwicien, in business since 2009, have recently expanded their business to more than 35 markets (including Baltimore, of course, as well as places like Norman, OK, Eugene, OR, and Wheeling, WV, where delivery service is not as easy to find).

Currently, the company deliver mores than 10,000 meals across the country each week and is continuing to expand.

In Baltimore, business is brisk, too. OrderUp can deliver your favorite foods from places such as Towson Hot BagelsDipasquales, and Chick-Fil-A in Canton. (In fact, delivery is free at the Chick-Fil-A in Canton through the end of August.) Talks are also in the works for delivery from Ryleigh’s Oysters. (Can you say, crabby pretzels on demand?)

“We are trying to flip the script of food delivery in this country,” says Chris Jeffery. “Normally, you don’t pay attention to whose doing your delivery, but we’re trying to personalize it and make the whole experience very easy. You don't have to climb a mountain to get something delivered.”

Jane Marion is the food and travel editor for Baltimore, where she covers food, wellness, beauty, and home and garden.
