Get your Cuban sandwich at Towson’s Havana Road while you can. The Cuban restaurant will serve its final shift on Sept. 21.
Owner Marta Ines Quintana is hoping to expand her line of Havana Road refrigerated Cuban meals and will be offering free virgin mojitos to customers who come in before the West Pennsylvania Ave. restaurant permanently closes its doors. (Diner can bring their own rum—the spot is BYOB.)
Quintana, who leases the property, has sublet the space to Lisa Heckman and Peter Wood, the husband and wife owners of Iggie’s Pizza who sold their Mount Vernon boutique pizzeria in July.
No word yet on what the new space will be, but we’re crossing our fingers for more Iggie’s pies of perfection and a dog-friendly policy.
